This has been said, “Loneliness is just mindset”. But can we really be alone without being lonely?

The idea of solitude is getting popular these days. Solitude is a word that is used by many people to show themselves intellectuals and cool.

Of course, some people are introverts. They like solitude. But they don’t really flaunt solitude, being alone.

Human beings are social creatures. They love to be around people. Share and care kind of things. But some people who don’t like to be around people, they’re being judged.

People often say them they’re lonely, they must be sad, they’re egoistic, they’re going through something, etc.  Because they can’t differentiate between Aloneness and Loneliness.

These two terms are not the same. These are different from each other in every manner.

The idea of being alone, solitude is much more optimistic than being lonely.

What about human beings are social creatures?

Yes, human beings are social creatures. There is a need for contact with other human beings up to a level. Whether you choose it or not. But as above said Loneliness is just a mindset. So it doesn’t matter whether you’re with people or not, you can feel lonely anywhere. You can even feel lonely when you’re with many people. So it’s in your mind. Human beings are social creatures of course but it depends. It depends on your choices. That how much you indulge yourself in being a social creature.

How to differentiate between Aloneness and Loneliness?

See these are both are just mindset. The whole idea for both depends upon your choices and perception.

Aloneness is somewhat the choice to be alone. You want to spend quality time with yourself purposely, so you’ve made a distance from people and society. Reason can be anything. You can be on a break, maybe you’re working on your mental health.

Loneliness is something where you’re not purposely being alone. There must be some circumstance, some conditions, and your perception which made you feel lonely.

Lonely doesn’t mean you’re completely alone and you’re feeling like this. It can also be like, you’re with many people and still, you can feel lonely. Because it’s in your mind. There can be many reasons, why you feel that way.

How to be alone without being lonely?

In today’s modern world everyone has their right to choose. Choose whether they want to be alone or they want to be with someone.

You don’t have to stick to people to live. There are many people in this world who are at absolute solitude. They’re traveling, they are Meditating, enjoying there life. But parallel to this there are many people who are living with family, friends and still feel lonely and they’re fighting with depression.

So it’s all in your mind.

Appreciate the fact that you have got the ability to be alone, survive alone. You should not depend on someone for your survival. As soon as you’ll realize that being alone is a luxury these days. You need to know yourself. Solitude is important. When you’ll understand this thing, you can be alone without being lonely or lost.

Many spiritual philosophers are also talking about Aloneness, solitude, and Loneliness. As per them, solitude is a must in life at some points in life. It can give a positive direction to your life. Whereas Aloneness is a choice it’s neutral. It can be either good or bad to you, depends on your perception. Whereas Loneliness is a negative emotion. It can generate negativity in your mind.

Just change your mindset for being alone. Things, people, relationships are temporary you need to understand that. In the process of escaping Loneliness, we can do damage to our life. Whereas accepting Aloneness can be beneficial to our life.

If we are complete inside, we don’t have to look outside for temporary happiness.

Loneliness asks you to look for other individuals to fill the assumed void in you whereas Aloneness encourages you to be the whole.
