When Life Hurts

There are many instances when life really hurts. The reason can be anything. You’ve lost someone, you are going through heartbreak, you’re working hard but getting no success, and you’re going through some physical issue. You see life can hurt anyone, anytime, for any reason.

What to do when life hurts?

You always need to remember a few things whenever you’re going through a tough phase in life. These things will help you to bounce back with more power when life hurts.

Self-love

You should always remember one thing in life that the most important thing in your life should be you. If you’re good. If you’re mentally and physically healthy, everything will be good. You’ve to respect yourself enough for everything. Don’t indulge in self-hate when something is not going right in life. If you love yourself enough, you’ll not have time to overthink about others. You’ll be more focused on yourself and your goals.

Choose what makes you happy

Work on your choices and preferences. Learn to differentiate between what makes you happy and what’s not. When you’ll upgrade your choices considering your happiness, many things in your life will change drastically. When you’ll choose better, everything will be better. Just know one thing, your happiness is your responsibility, nobody is responsible for your happiness. So always choose what makes you happy when life hurts you.

Focus on “Do Not”

Yes, if you have got the choice to choose your happiness, you’ve also chosen not to. Don’t choose things that disturb your peace of mind. Say no to things which are not good for your well being. Stop doing things that are not making you productive. Don’t choose things which are not doing any good to you, don’t put you in better position. Start making the distance from things, which are not giving you the strength you require. When life hurts these all don’ts will help you to get over that.

Take responsibility

Take responsibility for your life, your actions, and your things. When you’re hurt there’s no use of blaming others for your condition. If somebody else hurt you, in that condition you gave them the power to hurt you. Remember one thing nobody can hurt you without your permission. So take responsibility for your mistakes. Accept that it’s my responsibility to make myself feel better. Do not blame others.

Time does not owe you anything

Always remember one thing that time doesn’t owe you anything. When life hurts you, you spend your time weeping over that, getting sad over that but you don’t realize that you get stuck to that. As time passes by you suddenly realize I’ve missed a lot of other things in my life. So it’s better to move on and utilize your time instead of crying over, getting sad over the same thing again and again. Because time will not stop because of you, time will move forward always.

Everyone is going through something

You see everyone in this world is not perfectly happy who’s living a practical life. Everyone is going through something in their life. You’re not alone. Everyone is struggling no matter what. We want a car but there’s someone who can’t even walk. We want to have dinner in five stars someday but there’s someone who’s not able to earn a regular meal. So there are a lot of problems in this world. And when you’ll see the world from a bird’s eye view, you’ll see that life is hurting everyone in a different way. Some are just strong enough to deal when life hurts.

Just focus on believing yourself. Be thankful for every breath you’re taking. You are stronger than you think. So when life hurts just say yourself that I’ll go through it no matter what.
